I was really apprehensive about buying breakable items from this site, not having any prior purchases. But I must say, I was DEFINITELY SATISFIED. The item came on time. It was packaged well, no nicks or cracks (I bought some place settings at the actual Mikasa store; and discovered a couple of plates broken when I got home).
The item is lovely; and the price is unbeatable!
Description of Mikasa Platinum Crown Covered Casserole Dish
Platinum Crown is Mikasa's latest hit formal pattern. It has had great acceptance nationally by brides, and is a best seller at all Mikasa dealers. Lustrous white fine china with a platinum filligree band adds elegance to any formal table setting.Elegant and effortless, Mikasa's Platinum Crown combines classic materials and tasteful ornamentation to create lovely yet straightforward formal dinnerware. Crafted from white fine china, the pattern features precious platinum accents--a blend of gleaming bands and a broader border with a linked crown motif. This covered dish, complete with swooping handles, a graceful lid, and a smart foot, lends sophistication to even the simplest casseroles. Its shape is easy to handle, fill, and serve from, and its banding is especially generous. The piece measures approximately 8-1/4 inches in diameter (handles not included) and stands 6 inches high.
